PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Mark R. Cummisford Cummisford, Acevedo & Associates, LLC- Oak Creek, Wisconsin 2/1/07 - Present Attorney/Founding Partner Creditor rights law firm representing mortgage bankers, lenders, and servicers in foreclosure, bankruptcy, litigation, loss mitigation, eviction, and REO closings. Washington Mutual Bank - Milwaukee, Wisconsin 2/1/03 - 1/31/07 Vice-President/Credit Operations Manager/Contract Administration-Recourse and Recovery (2005 - 2007) Created and managed recovery operation, which administered more than $500MM plus of contract administration involving operational, credit risk, and market exposure. Hired and managed staff of exempt professional employees to identify, negotiate, and resolve contractual, breach of contract, and legal issues affecting all divisions and to reduce and eliminate credit and operational risk exposure. Negotiated and recovered nearly $100MM in 2005/2006 and resolved more than $300 MM in credit risk. Assistant Vice-President/Manager-Default/Asset Recovery/Foreclosure/Loss Prevention (2003-2005) Managed two national default servicing vendors, which included oversight of default/foreclosure operation processing more than 30,000 foreclosures annually and more than 1,800 contested and litigated foreclosure cases. Real Estate Attorney, Brookfield, Wisconsin 2002 - 2003 Managed all contested and litigated real estate mortgage foreclosure cases for Wisconsin law firm, which represented large nationwide mortgage banking and mortgage lending companies. Filed more than 400 mortgage foreclosure lawsuits in Wisconsin and drafted legal pleadings and other legal documents from collections, default, breach, and acceleration, through foreclosure, bankruptcy, and REO. Negotiated settlements and resolved contested and litigated files and title claims. Coordinated and closed post-foreclosure REO sale transactions for major mortgage lenders and servicers. Established, owned, and managed a closely held subchapter S corporation (real estate brokerage).
